Event description:

Annotation:

What was the life journey of perhaps the most important American Catholic philosopher and academic today? What mistakes has he made, what has he learned, and what does he still doubt? What is his original intellectual history? In addition to all this, we'll talk about what an ecumenical marriage between a faithful Catholic and a Jewish woman looks like, what it was like to work for the U.S. Supreme Court, and what he thinks about American politics. The professor is known to be passionate about playing the banjo. Perhaps we'll get a surprise during the discussion...

The format of the Plato's Cave is intended to give participants the experience of live contact with the guest and the opportunity for real dialogue. The number of places is therefore limited to 30.

Topics of the discussion:

  1. Why does a young person of faith choose philosophy?
  2. From whom did he learn and what did philosophy (not) teach him?
  3. What is the most important thing in life that matters?
